Located west of San Juan Bautista, Hollister is the county seat of San Benito County. It was incorporated on March 26, 1872 and was first inhabited by the Mutsun Ohlone Indians. Hollister is home to around 40,000 residents and is the largest city in San Benito County. It derives most of its business via the agriculture industry.
